This week I had the opportunity to chat with Molly Evans, one of Triblio’s Customer Success Managers. We discussed her journey into her current position, what a typical workday looks like for someone in an ever-changing environment, and her passion for reading. Everyone at Triblio loves working with Molly, especially her many customers. Read the full interview to get to know Molly…
- Tell me about your journey into customer success.
I majored in accounting in college and then worked with an advertising agency, but I wasn’t completely in love with accounting. I got my first client-facing role as an account manager and learned a ton in a year and a half about working with clients in that position. My husband and I moved, and I was looking for a job where I could continue building my technical skills and work with clients. It was not a straightforward journey to where I’m at now, but Triblio seemed like a place where I could expand on my technical skills and continue working in a client-facing role.
- What is a typical workday like?
There is no day that is typical, which is what I like. Depending on the day, I may have a few calls with customers, catch up on email, help customers build smart pages, learn more HTML, and do a lot of follow up with customers. I prefer my job to be unpredictable with new challenges, and you can’t say working at Triblio is ever boring.
- With your role as a CSM, where you are talking to a lot of different customers, certainly seems like it can get overwhelming. Do you have any work tips or productivity hacks that you encourage?
I keep my inbox very tidy and use my inbox as a weekly checklist. Once I’m done with something I file it in a specific folder and this helps keep me sane. I’m also a note-taker, writing something down and getting it on paper helps me get through the day knowing I have something to look back on.
- What’s your favorite memory from working at Triblio or your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of Triblio is my team. I love my team because we are all so helpful. Going remote at first was tough because we were used to being in the same room and working together. Everyone is always willing to help and jump on a call if they have more experience on a certain topic. There is such great comradery amongst the team.
- What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
I like to hang out with my dog and my husband. I am also a huge reader and love fiction books.
- Anything you’re currently reading or any books on your reading list?
I try to read one classic book a year so I’m currently reading Far From the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy. My goal is to read 50 books a year and I typically reach that or get close to it every year.
